Symmetry explores links between the crafts and the trades and professions with
whom they share a special affinity. Ten craftspeople, two each from five crafts, have been
asked to make works that respond to a paired occupation. While standing on their own as
works of intrinsic artistic value, they can also be understood in the context of a
specific dialogue between two techniques that despite their similarities rarely encounter
one another.
